Live at Marcell's 12/13/08

My friends Sarah (who is Ladytown) and Aram (who performs as Orphan Train) hosted the first annual "Christmas in the Couv", an event to collect food for a local foodbank as well as gather musical friends for an intimate acoustic performance. A splendid time was had by all, and my friend Favor was kind enough to capture my portion of the show on video.

With the exception of my first song, my set was a sing-along. Any time I play a show where much of the audience is musicians, I love to take advantage of that and have them croon away on songs they haven't previously heard, so I choose songs that end with a repeated line, create a lyric quick cheat sheet and request participation. On this day, the participation was more than I dared hope.

Thanks to everyone who came out, contributed food, and humored me by singing along. If you didn't make it, you can contribute a few cans to your local foodbank and watch these videos and it will be just like having been there.
